Bearing support, has two receiving openings (12,22) for receiving bearing and is arranged between two receiving openings forming two separated bearing support halves (10,20), which are arranged within an area of a plane. The shaft central axes stand perpendicular on this plane. The bearing support halves are arranged against each other in such a manner that they are connected with each other firmly with respect to forces towards the shaft central axial direction. An independent claim is also included for the method for mounting a bearing support.
