A fluid filter (1) includes a case (2) in which an inflow path (13), an outflow path (10), and a drainage path (14) are formed, a cap (3) which is engaged with the case (2) through axial rotation, a biasing means (17) (a coil spring) which biases a filter element (5) housed inside a casing (4) constituted by the case (2) and the cap (3) toward the case (2) side, a rotation restricting means (256) (an abutting portion and a projecting portion) which restricts rotation of the filter element in a fastening direction when the cap is rotated relative to the case in the fastening direction, and a sealing member (25) provided on an axial end surface side of the filter element (5), which seals the drainage path (14) when the filter element (5) is biased by the biasing means (17) and rotation thereof is restricted by the rotation restricting means (256).
