PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head the surface of which is hardly changed by constituting a high permeability magnetic substance layer being a main magnetic pole of a vertical magnetization recording magnetic head through the bonding of the layer formed on two supporting bases. CONSTITUTION:High permeability magnetic substance layers 13, 13' having a specified track width depending on the magnetic recording system and a film thickness correspoding to a gap of a magnetic head, are formed on supporting bases 11, 11' made of glass or ceramic, and the layers 13, 13' of the bases 11, 11' are opposed to each other and bonded with an adhesive 12. Since edges of the layers 13, 13' to any direction, running direction and reverse direction of a magnetic medium, are directly supported with the supporting bases 11, 11' having comparatively higher hardness, deformation due to friction with the recording medium can be avoided. |
