A turbine airfoil (12) includes opposite pressure and suction sidewalls (24,26), and extends in chord between opposite leading and trailing edges (28,30) and in span from a root (32) to an outer tip cap (34). The tip cap (34) bridges the sidewalls (24,26), and a flute (36) extends chordally along the pressure sidewall (24) and below the tip cap (34).
