The rectifier and sinusoidal pump circuits are structured as circuit arrangements connected in parallel, each arrangement having a redundant structure. The rectifier circuits and their associated sinusoidal pump circuits are controlled in order to automatically correct the sinusoidal pump circuits so that a maximum efficiency value is obtained. The control unit can disconnect one or more of these circuit arrangements in order to adapt to the actual power supply requirements. A direct current distribution network is supplied with a 3-phase alternating voltage and an alternating current, which are converted into a suitable direct voltage and direct current using one or more rectifier circuits. These circuits and their associated sinusoidal pump circuits or units are provided in a network station and comprise electronic circuit arrangements adapted to apply a symmetrical resistance to the alternating voltage and current, depending on the actual direct current-related power output.
