A wiper device for automatically sensing rain is provided to secure the sight of a driver under the low speed wiper operation when converting an automatic mode to a manual mode. A wiper device for automatically sensing rain comprises a rain sensor(101), a wiper/washer operator(102), a wiper motor(103), an interface part(104), and a prior state checking part(105). The rain sensor detects and outputs an amount of rain and water on a wind shield glass. The wiper/washer operator selects an automatic mode or a manual mode for sensing rain and controls an operation speed of a wiper on the manual mode. The wiper motor operates the wiper by a voltage signal inputted. The interface part directly provides an operation signal to the wiper/washer operator or provides an operation control signal to the rain sensor on the automatic mode and selectively provides the wiper motor with a wiper operation mode according to a detective signal of the rain sensor. The prior state checking part checks the detective signal detected in the rain sensor through the interface part on the automatic mode and drives the wiper motor for a predetermined time in reference of a size of the last checked detective signal of the rain sensor when converting a mode to the manual mode. |
