<p>The invention relates to a novel cementitious compound which is based on a hydraulic cement, additives, aggregates and steel fibres. More specifically, the invention relates to a bullet-proof, energy-absorbing cementitious compound comprising: 40 to 60 % hydraulic cement, 0.1 to 1 % retardant, 0.4 to 2 % anti-foaming agent, 1 to 3 % dispersing agent, 30 to 40 % silica aggregates at a concentration of 0.05 to 0.3 mm and up to 1.5 mm, 5 to 30 % steel fibres, and 10.5 to 14.6 % water based on the weight of the dry mixture. In addition, the mechanical and bullet resistance properties of the cementitious compound are obtained by means of a chemical reaction involving calcium sulphoaluminate for 12 hours at an ambient temperature of between 20 and 40 C. The inventive compound can be used for the prefabrication of panels that are used to form walls, ceilings, floors, etc. The invention is suitable for the on-site repair and/or construction of walls, ceilings, floors, etc. that are res istant to bullets from arms of the following calibers: 9 mm, .357 Magnum, Magnum 44, .30 rifle, .223 rifle and 7.62 rifle.</p> |
