An electric hand tool, to be precise especially a hand-held drilling machine or a screwdriver, is described which has a circuit for speed adjustment and torque limiting. The special feature is that, when the torque limiter is switched on, a reduced speed is also automatically set, matched to operation as a screwdriver, thread cutter or for similar tasks.
