A lock assembly of a gas inlet cover having a lock pin temporarily fixing structure is provided to prevent interference between a lock pin and a connecting bracket in combining with the connecting bracket of a vehicle body by forming the structure in a temporarily retreated state of the lock pin and to simply release the temporarily fixed state of the lock pin after finishing the installation. A lock assembly(1) of a gas inlet cover comprises a connecting bracket of a vehicle body, a fixing groove, a lock pin(20), a wire(40) as a manual releasing means, a stopper groove, and a stopper member. The lock pin is inserted into or drawn out of the fixing groove of the gas inlet cover to be moved forward to fix/release the gas inlet cover. The lock pin is inserted through a case(10) to be exposed of the rear part. The wire is combined at the exposed rear part of the lock pin, and physically pulled to retreat the lock pin. The stopper groove is formed on the rear part of the lock pin to be exposed when the lock pin is retreated. The stopper member is fitted into the exposed stopper groove by pulling the wire by a worker to temporarily fix a retreated state of the lock pin. The front end of the lock pin is formed on the front side of the case not to be exposed. The stopper member is combined with the wire to separate the stopper member from the stopper groove by pulling the wire by the worker to release the temporary fixture of the lock pin.
