A method for providing a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) notification service by using an SMS(Short Message Service), a system thereof, and a terminal therefor are provided to enable a user to form sympathy on a specific broadcasting program with other DMB service subscribers because the user can notify other subscribers that they can watch the broadcasting program selected by the user such that the DMB service can be widely provided. A system for providing a DMB notification service by using an SMS comprises an EPG(Electronic Program Guide) processor(230) and an SMS processor(240). The EPG processor processes information on a broadcasting program, selects a specific broadcasting program among plural broadcasting programs and transmits information on a reservation time or a phoned number of a receiver to the SMS processor if they are inputted. The SMS processor generates a short message for notification of watching a broadcasting program, to be transmitted to the phone number of the receiver, if receiving the reservation time and the phone number of the receiver from the DMB processor, and transmits the generated short message to a mobile communication network if it comes to the reservation time.
