A number input device using a counter, a control device, and a mobile communication terminal are provided to enable a user to input numbers through 3 buttons only by comprising a number input key, a +5 number input key, and a reset key on a key input unit for inputting numbers in the terminal, and calculating inputted signals through the counter. A key input unit(304) has plural key buttons which include plural function keys for inputting operation signals of functions equipped in a mobile communication terminal(300) as well as a reset key, a +5 number input key, and a number input key for inputting numbers from a user, and inputs numbers with only 3 buttons such as the number input key, the +5 number input key and the reset key. A microprocessor(320) recognizes the numbers by using a counter, a counter controller, and a +5 clock generator if the numbers are inputted through the key input unit(304) by the user, and displays the recognized numbers through an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display)(306).
