An electron emission device and an electron emission display device using the same are provided to prevent electrical connection between isolation electrodes without forming an individual resistance layer between a main electrode and the isolation electrode. A plurality of cathode electrodes(14) are positioned on a substrate. A plurality of gate electrodes(18) are positioned on the substrate and are isolated from the cathode electrodes. A plurality of electron emission units(26) are electrically connected to the cathode electrodes. Each of the cathode electrodes includes a main electrode(20), isolation electrodes(22), and a resistance layer(24). The main electrode is used for forming an opening at each pixel. The isolation electrodes are formed at a position apart from the main electrode in each opening. An electron mission part is positioned on one side of the isolation layer. The resistance layer is formed on the main electrode in order to fill up a gap between the main electrode and the isolation electrodes.
