Provided is a secondary battery to decrease the path of current from an electrode tap to an electrode terminal, thereby reducing electrical resistance, and to prevent the separation of a cap plate and an electrode terminal or between terminal plates. The secondary battery comprises an electrode assembly; a can which accommodates the electrode assembly; and a cap assembly(100) which comprises a cap plate(110) combined with the upper part of the opened aperture of the can, and a conductive electrode terminal(130) provided with a pin part penetrating the terminal penetration hole formed at the cap plate from the lower part to the upper part and a bottom plate integrated with the lower terminal of the pin part, wherein the electrode tap drawn from the one electrode of the electrode assembly is joined with the lower surface of the bottom plate. |
