An image display device is provided to prevent degradation of brightness without increasing power consumption by increasing the number of printed circuit wires in a pixel. An image display device includes an image signal voltage generating unit, a pixel driving voltage generating unit, a light emitting element, pixels(1), and a display unit. Luminance of the light emitting element is controlled by the voltage level difference between the image signal voltage and the pixel driving voltage, through a brightness control unit. Each of the pixels, which are arranged on the display unit, includes a pair of switches for alternately inputting the image signal voltage and the pixel driving voltage. The pair of switches is controlled by a control signal of a common switch control line(11).
