ANTIFUNGAL EXTRACT PRODUCED BY SUPERCRITICAL FLUID EXTRACTION

An extract is provided to show excellent antifungal activity without cytotoxicity, thereby being used as medicines and foods for preventing and treating various fungal infections. The extract is prepared by extracting an antifungal plant such as oregano, Chamaecyparis obtusa, Cinnamomum loureirii and Scutellaria baicalensis using a supercritical fluid of 35-80 deg.C and 100-500 bar and the fungus is dermatophyte fungus such as Trichophyton rubrum, Microsporum audouinii, Trichophyton ferrugineum, Epidermophyton floccosum and Trichophyton mentagrophytes.
