Provided is a direct oxidation fuel cell to prevent the impurities contained in the air flown from the outside from being taken into a cathode and to prevent physical deformation. The direct oxidation fuel cell(100) comprises an electricity generation part(10) which comprises a membrane electrode assembly provided with an anode and a cathode facing each other and a polymer electrolyte membrane located between the anode and the cathode and generates electricity by the oxidation of fuel and the reduction of an oxidizing agent; a fuel supply part(30) which supplies fuel to the electricity generation part; and an oxidizing agent supply part(40) which supplies an oxidizing agent to the electricity generation part, wherein the oxidizing agent supply part is provided with a porous substrate coated with a hydrocarbon fuel oxidation catalyst. Preferably the hydrocarbon fuel oxidation catalyst is at least one metal selected from Pt, Pd, Ru, Ag and Ir, its metal supported on a support, or their mixture. |
