A sliding opening and closing apparatus in a mobile phone is provided to use a mobile phone more conveniently by enabling a bidirectional sliding motion to be made even though a mobile phone is closed. A sliding opening and closing apparatus, which combines the first and second units and opens/closes a portion of either of the two units when a relative sliding motion is performed between them, comprises the first connection member(30), the second connection member(40), elastic members(50,60), and a hooking structure(90). The first connection member(30) is connected to the first unit. The second connection member(40) makes a sliding motion for the first connection member(30), and is connected to the second unit. The elastic members(50,60) provide elastic force between the first connection member(30) and the second connection member(40). The hooking structure(90) enables the first and second connection members(30,40) to maintain a standstill state.
