A paper feeding apparatus is provided to prevent paper from being damaged by enabling a user to easily remove a paper jam which occurs between transport rollers. A pair of transport rollers(10) rotate with facing each other and transport paper. A body plate(20) supports the transport rollers. A cover(30) is coupled to the body plate by a hinge and moved between a closing position disposed in parallel with the body plate and an opening position for opening the body plate. An interworking part(50) makes the transport rollers close to each other when the cover is located at the closing position so that paper can be transported, and separates the transport rollers from each other when the cover is located at the opening position. The transport rollers include a fixing roller(12) supported by the body plate and a moving roller(14) movably supported by the body plate.
