A light control switch and a display apparatus comprising the same are provided to effectively control light transmissivity through revolution of a light shielding film in a cylinder by varying voltage applied to electrodes for applying voltage to the cylinder. A light control switch includes a cylinder(50) and a charged body(52) installed at outer circumferential portion of the cylinder. The cylinder is arranged inside a cell forming a pixel of a display apparatus and is made of a material having property transmitting light. A light shielding film(51) is disposed inside the cylinder, and is made of a material having property not transmitting light. Therefore, light transmissivity is adjusted in accordance with the voltage applied to the cell.
