An acceleration-protection suit at least partially consisting of an outer layer (1) and an inner layer (2). The layers (1,2) consist of limited-extensibility materials and are joined to each other in such a way that veins (10) arise in one area (B). Gastight tubes (3) are inserted into the veins (10). In a rest position (RS), the G-suit fits closely to the body and is tensed with a stress value sigma 0. A pressure p0 is exerted on the wearer of the G-suit (15) by virtue of said stress. If the tubes (3) are impinged upon by pressure, the veins become deformed (10) and at least the outer layer (1) is tensed with a stress value sigma>sigma0. The stress sigma is transferred to the user in the form of pressure p<p0. Hydrostatic pressures in the vascular system caused by accelerations can thus be compensated with the aid of said pressure. |
