A password resetting method of a portable terminal is provided to be capable of servicing a function of resetting a password of the portable terminal by using user authentication information pre-stored in the portable terminal, thus a user can conveniently change information when password of the terminal is lost. A password is set in the initial state of a terminal(S200). After the password setup is completed, user authentication information to be used in case of password loss is inputted(S202,S204). If the password is lost, the inputted user authentication information is received for user authentication(S208,S210). After user authentication, a new password is inputted(S212). |
