A dishwasher and a water guide of the dishwasher are provided to improve washing efficiency of the dishwasher by enlarging the sectional area of a passage of washing water flowing through the water guide and decreasing flow resistance of washing water in a curved portion of the water guide, and to move washing water vertically and quickly by installing a steel wire for guiding flow of washing water inside the water guide. A dishwasher includes a tub(110) having a washing tub, a sump for storing washing water, and a water guide(140) for moving washing water from the sump. The sectional area of a passage of washing water is increased in the water guide, and the water guide is cylindrically formed. A steel wire is recessed and formed in the water guide. A hook is installed in the upper part of the water guide and is protruded, and a hook groove is formed in the tub to insert the hook. The water guide is contacted and fastened to the tub by inserting the hook to the hook groove.
