A hovercraft driving apparatus and a method for controlling the same are provided to improve the convenience for a user and the functionality by easily moving a bucket system back and forth and easily rotating the bucket system. A hovercraft driving apparatus includes a propeller member, right and left steering buckets, and right and left drive members. The drive member includes a case(60), a rotational drive body(58), a screw section(62), a rod(50), and position detection sensor member. The rotational body is embedded in the case. A magnetic section attached to a metal forming an upper portion of the rotational drive body by an attractive force is formed in the screw section. The screw section is expanded in the lengthwise direction of the case. The rod passes through one end of the case and is moved back and forth as the screw section rotates. The position detection sensor member detects movement of the position of the rod. |
