A portable display device is provided to enhance the coupling strength between an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel and a mold frame, by attaching a double-sided tape between the LCD panel and the backlight assembly. A backlight assembly(150) includes a light source for supplying light to an LCD panel(104). A mold frame(116) is included in the backlight assembly, wherein the mold frame has a stepped portion(116a) for stably positioning the LCD panel. A double-sided tape(105) is attached to the stepped portion of the mold frame to enhance the coupling strength between the LCD panel and the mold frame. The double-sided tape overlaps a non-display area of the LCD panel. |
