A system and a method for providing an Internet service with a single access network are provided to largely reduce expense required for constructing the access network for providing the Internet service to customers by sharing the single access network with a plurality of ISPs. The access network(100) provides the Internet service to customer computers(510-1 - 530-1) registered to the ISPs. If traffic generated from the customer is transmitted to the access network by including an IP(Internet Protocol) address assigned to the customer within an IP address block of each ISP, a line concentrating routing switch(400) connects the connected customer to a backbone(300-1 - 300-n) operated by the registered ISP by separating the traffic of each ISP according to the block corresponding to the assigned IP address. The access network includes an access switch(110) concentrating/turning over the traffic of the customers registered to the ISPs and an IP routing switch(120) routing the traffic received from the access switch to the line concentrating routing switch.
