PHOTOGRAPHING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR HAND-TREMBLE COMPENSATION

An optical image stabilizing device and method in a photographing apparatus are provided to variably control an opening/closing speed of a shutter and ISO(International Standards Organization) sensitivity for captured image data to obtain stabilized images. An optical image stabilizer of a photographing apparatus includes a shutter(130), a release switch(330), an acceleration measurement unit(350), a photographing controller(110), and a shutter driver(180). The shutter passes light inputted from a lens(120) through an opening/closing operation. The release switch receives a first signal for focusing an object and a second signal for starting to take a picture of the focused object. The acceleration measurement unit calculates acceleration according to shaking of the photographing apparatus during a period from when the first signal is inputted until when the second signal is inputted. The photographing controller re-resets an opening/closing operation speed value of the shutter to a value higher than a current opening/closing operation speed value of the shutter when the calculated acceleration is larger than a reference value. The shutter driver controls the opening/closing operation speed of the shutter according to the re-set opening/closing operation speed value.
