The instrumentation has prosthesis prehension device (5) with manipulation and prehension ends and a rod provided with a rotation axle (501) at the prehension end. An assembly formed by the rod and tabs (500) forms a forceps mounted slidingly on a hollow tube. The prehension end provides a profile, which is adapted to the shape of an intervertebral disc prosthesis, to the forceps, where the profile co-operates with three faces of plates of the prosthesis. The rod slides in the tube in a prehension end direction/manipulation end direction to close/open the forceps, respectively.
