The method involves positioning a foldable and unfoldable seat (7) at the level of an independent floor pan area (6) of a floor pan (2) by placing a backrest (9) relative to the floor pan area and a base (11) relative to the backrest. The floor pan area of the floor pan with the seat is inserted through a lower face of a flat reception area (16) in an opening (3). The floor pan area and a support (12) are fixed to the flat reception area. An independent claim is also included for a module comprising a free part of a floor pan and a seat.
