A control method of an electric parking brake system is provided to secure driving convenience and park-braking stability by applying a roll-back preventing function into the electric parking brake system. A control method of an electric parking brake system comprises seven steps. The first step is for judging position of the current gear stage when a manual switch of the electric parking brake system is turned on to generate the park-braking force(S30). The second step is for detecting the current slope angle when the position of the current gear stage is a D stage or an R stage(S40). The third step is for detecting the current vehicle speed when the currently detected slope angle is over a set standard angle(S50). The fourth step is for judging operation or not of a brake pedal when the detected vehicle speed is under a set standard vehicle speed(S60). The fifth step is for detecting operated degree of an accelerator pedal when the brake pedal is not operated(S70). The sixth step is for computing/applying hilling holding delay time when a value of a throttle position sensor is over a set standard value(S80). The seventh step is for releasing operation of the electric parking brake system(S90). |
