<p>The implant has a rod (34) which is slightly longer than a diameter of a tunnel which is fixed to a ligament transplant (18) at a centre of the rod, where the tunnel is introduced into a tunnel segment (16) in a position that is essentially parallel to an axis of the tunnel. A downward tensile force is exerted on the transplant when the rod is positioned perpendicularly to the axis of the tunnel such that the rod sinks into a cancellous part of a tibia (12). An independent claim is also included for an assembly for fixing a ligament transplant.</p>
