摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of the front part of a vehicle body which can absorb collision energy while reducing a bending force generated to a collision object when the collision object is brought into collision with a bumper of a vehicle body which has a relatively high vehicle height. <P>SOLUTION: The structure of the front part of the vehicle has a hood 16, a bumper reinforcement 20, a bumper cover 14, an impact absorbing member 34, and a bumper-stiffness-retaining member 36. The hood 16 is provided to the top of the front part of the vehicle body. The bumper reinforcement 20 is extended in the vehicle-width direction at the front part of the vehicle, and a recessed part 20A, which is positioned on the more backward side than the front edge 16A of the hood 16 in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body, is provided to the central area in the vehicle-width direction. Then the bumper cover 14 is provided in front of the bumper reinforcement in the vehicle-width direction, and the impact absorbing member 34 is extended and provided to both ends 20E of the bumper reinforcement in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. The bumper-stiffness-retaining member 36 is provided to the recessed part 20A of the bumper reinforcement 20 so that it can complement a feeling of stiffness of the bumper cover 14, and has a gap part S2 constituting a crush part in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body at the time of input of a load to the bumper cover 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
