<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system which allows a service person to rewrite a program of an image forming apparatus remotely by a rewrite program without visiting an installation site of the image forming apparatus, can reduce cost and time, and can more precisely manage the image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming system comprises: the image forming apparatus 10 which has a rewritable first memory unit 12 which stores a program; a sub-host 80 having a second memory unit 82 which stores a program; a user network 4; a program management system having a management memory unit 22 which stores a rewrite program; and a general network. The sub-host 80 accesses the program management system via the general network, obtains the rewrite program, and store it in the second memory unit 82. The image forming apparatus 10 obtains via the user network the rewrite program stored in the second memory unit 82, and rewrites the program stored in the first memory unit 12 into the rewrite program. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
