<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having four colors of R, G, B and C that can be manufactured in the same number of processes as that of a display device having three colors of R, G and B. <P>SOLUTION: In a color filter substrate having three color layers of cyan (C), magenta (M) and yellow (Y), one pixel is constituted of four sub-pixels, with one sub-pixel producing red (R) by stacking color layers of M and Y, another sub-pixel producing green (G) by stacking color layers of C and Y, another sub-pixel producing blue (B) by stacking color layers of C and M, and another sub-pixel producing cyan (C) by a single color layer of C. Therefore, the display device having color layers of four colors R, G, B and C can be manufactured in the same number of processes as that of a display device having color layers of three colors R, G and B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
