<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical cellulose ester film for display which is free from a die line and an ameliorated degree of orientation, an optical cellulose ester film for display obtained by this manufacturing method, a polarizing plate using the optical cellulose ester film and a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the optical cellulose ester film for display adopts a tandem system of not less than two extruders connected together in series, with a finest mesh filter arranged between the two extruders, for forming a cellulose ester resin into a molten film.
