PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of scrambling a stream of data. SOLUTION: The method of scrambling a stream of data includes: a step to obtain from the stream a succession of first sequences (29, 30) of blocks (P<SB>i</SB>) of data; a step to reverse the order of the blocks (P<SB>i</SB>) in each of the first sequences (29, 30) of blocks to form respective second sequences (31, 37) of blocks of data; and a step to encrypt the blocks in each second sequence (31, 37) of blocks using a cipher E<SB>K</SB>in block chaining mode, initialized with a respective initialization vector (IV<SB>3</SB>, IV<SB>N</SB>) for each second sequence (31, 37) of blocks.
