<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching system for an automobile that can control a plurality of electrical units having small circuit constitution and exerts less adverse effects on the reception of radio broadcast etc. <P>SOLUTION: The switching system 10 for the automobile includes one transmission-side circuit 12 and a plurality of reception-side circuits 14, connected to a power line 16 and a ground line 18 of the automobile. A switch at a driver's seat is operated to input a signal to the transmission-side circuit 12, and an instruction signal, corresponding to the input signal, is generated. In response to this instruction signal, a control signal is transmitted to the power line and received by a reception-side circuit 14. The reception-side circuit 14 extracts the instruction signal from the control signal and generates a drive signal, corresponding to only the specified instruction signal.
