PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the readiness of loading or unloading of a radiation image detector in the use of a radiation shielding member in a radiation imaging apparatus for phase contrast imaging. SOLUTION: The mammal imaging apparatus 1 has a first radiation shielding member 21 in which an opening part is formed at a position corresponding to a loading/unloading port of the radiation image detector in a detector holding member 12 to cover a space between a subject table 10 and the detector holding member 12 and a second radiation shielding member 22 which covers a space when the distance between the subject table 10 and the detector holding member 12 is increased at the rate of enlargement to generate a space between the subject table 19 and the first radiation shielding member 21.
