METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TESTING TRANSMISSION LOSS OF COMMUNICATION LINE

A method for testing transmission loss of communication line, applied for modem data communications, comprises the steps of : the voltage signal of the handshake carrier signal, which is sent by the client modem, is sampled by the device for testing transmission loss of communication line at the network side; the transmission loss of the carrier channel corresponding to the modem is calculated based on the acquired sampling data; the transmission losses of the other channels are calculated by the transmission loss of the carrier channel. The device for testing the transmission loss of communication line is also provided. Thanks to the method and device of present invention, the double loops testing is realized, the result is exact, the method is simple, the cost is low, and easy to realize.
