PURPOSE:To form a high reproducing output thin film magnetic head by inserting a magnetoresistance effect element to a part of a magnetic circuit formed by lower and upper magnetic poles. CONSTITUTION:The magnetoresistance effect element 11 is provided to a part of the upper magnetic layer 5. Further, the magnetism of the thin film magnetic head is formed by a permalloy by the plating method sometimes and the permalloy is used as the plating conductive background film in this case and the film thickness is 500-1,000Angstrom . The permalloy has a large magnetoresistance effect whose electric resistance is changed when a magnetic field is received externally and 2-3% of the specific resistance is changed. Thus, the magnetoresistance element is formed easily by masking a part of the magnetic head manufacture at forming of plating and leaving the part so as not to be plated while keeping the plating background as it is. |
