The invention relates to a method of catalytic reduction of dinitrogen oxide (N2O) in the presence of zeolite with the addition of a reducing agent, which is a saturated hydrocarbon such as methane (CH4) and/or propane (C3H8). At a temperature of 400 degrees C or lower, the complete N2O reduction can be achieved even with very low concentrations of the reducing agent and in the presence of watervapour.
