<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap member for improving life by surely preventing toner leakage from a toner discharge part during packaging an imaging unit during transport and during exchange, keeping the position of an image carrier in a state where it is mounted on an image forming apparatus, and enlarging its life time by preventing occurrence of an abnormal image due to cleaning inferiority, and to provide the imaging unit provided with the cap member. <P>SOLUTION: The cap member comprises a cover part 1 for covering the discharge part for collecting and discharging a residual matter after transfer remaining on the image carrier 51 mounted on the imaging unit 50, an image carrier fixing part 2 integrated with the cover part 1 for holding and fixing the position of the end of the image carrier 51, and a temperature detection part 3 for detecting that the image carrier fixing part 2 is at a prescribed temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
