<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter which can be equipped with a fault detecting circuit that can detect the fault of a braking circuit and the abnormal overheat of damping resistance, without cost up and without increasing the mounting area. <P>SOLUTION: It is equipped with a fault detecting circuit 12 which detects the fault by the logical composition of the existence of the control signal S4 of the switching element of the braking circuit 4, the existence of the control signal S5 of the switching element of an inverting circuit 6, and the existence of the detection signal S2 of a DC current detecting circuit 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
