PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can accurately and certainly detect the poor contact of a connector existing between a load driving unit and a resistive load, in a resistive load driving apparatus using AC power. SOLUTION: This detector makes a certain period before and after the instant when a drive AC current Io flowing to the resistive load 14 crosses zero a dead period, and other period a detection object period, and compares the detected voltage value Vd corresponding to a drive AC current value with a preset judgement threshold Vt in this detection object period. In case that such states that the detected voltage Vd is under the judgement threshold Vt are detected a certain number of times or more extending for a certain period, it judges that the connector 13 is of poor contact.
