PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile portable terminal having high authentication reliability. SOLUTION: A mobile portable terminal comprises: an image fetching means 110 for outputting a picked-up image as image data S11; a feature extraction means 120 for extracting the feature of an image of an authentication applicant from the image data S11 output from the image fetching means 110 to output the extracted feature as an authentication application feature S12; a feature storage means 130 storing then authentication permission feature S13 of an authenticated person who is permitted to use the mobile portable terminal beforehand; and an authentication decision means 140 for deciding authentication by comparing the authentication application feature S12 with the authentication permission feature S13. When the authentication application feature S12 and the authentication permission feature S13 are matched with each other, the authentication decision means 140 notifies the authentication applicant about permission of authentication as the results of the authentication decision but when not matched with each other, the authentication applicant is notified about refusal of authentication as the results of the authentication decision.
