PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shelf device capable of improving efficiency of the work for taking out an article. SOLUTION: In this shelf device, shelf plates 14 are slidably held on a plurality of shelf supporting members 13 arranged and stacked at an interval in the vertical direction on a frame 12 by guide rails 23 formed on the shelf supporting members 13, and the shelf supporting members 13 are attached to the frame 12 in such a way that the shelf supporting members 13 can turn between a horizontal supporting position where the shelf plate 14 takes substantially horizontal attitude and a jumping-up position where a front fringe of the shelf plate 14 takes upward jumping-up attitude. Consequently, a worker can select taking-out a liquid crystal panel 10 by displacing the shelf plates 14 to a jumping-up position from the uppermost step in order or taking-out the liquid crystal panel 10 from the shelf plate 14 after letting the shelf plate 14 on which the target liquid crystal panel 10 is loaded slide to improve efficiency of the work for taking out the liquid crystal panel 10.
