PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder which makes both-sided printing at the highest speed by setting the optimal stopping time according to a type of a sheet to be used, while preventing an image from being irregular owing to contact of an ink image to each roller, and also preventing ink transferred to each roller from being retransferred to the recording sheet to stain the recording sheet and the inside of a recorder. SOLUTION: Provided is a control means which records density measurement patterns divided into several stages on a sheet to be actually used, and reversely carries a recording sheet so that the recording sheet reaches a carrying roller in a constant time after recording in each pattern. Also provided is a control means which sets a fixing time such that a user judges an irregularity of an image printed by the above-mentioned control means, and selects a relevant measurement pattern.
