PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply structured greening roof preventing deterioration in a roof surface or a rooftop surface due to water or moisture to make the roof surface or the rooftop surface exert its originally provided drainage function, and preventing planters from scattering by flap of the wind. SOLUTION: The greening roof is obtained through the following process: placing a plurality of long greening-base materials 3 on the roof surface 1 or the rooftop surface 2 at prescribed intervals; hanging a planter 4 between the adjacent greening base materials 3 to form a space 6 between the bottom surface of the planter 4 and the roof surface 1 or the rooftop surface 2; joining a cover material 5 to the greening base materials 3 so as to grip the side surface wall 38 of the planter 4 with the cover material 5 and the side surfaces of the greening base materials 3.
