A modular aircraft support system (10) is disclosed. In one embodiment, the modular system (10) includes a mobile cart (14) and an air conditioning system (28) configured to provide conditioned air to an aircraft (12). The embodiment also includes a modular power converter (72) for converting input power to a desired output power, which can be input to a supported aircraft (12). The cart (14) is configured to receive a plurality of different interchangeable power converters (72, 78) such as a 115 VAC, 400 Hz power converter or a 270 VDC power converter. In some embodiments, a variety of other components are also coupled to the mobile cart (14), including a local generator (56) and engine (54). The generator (56) may supply power to the air conditioning system (28) and to the converter (72).
