<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner scattering preventing device capable of efficiently using toner by controlling an air exhaust amount from a developing device, thereby reducing the sucked and recovered toner, and increasing a maintenance interval by extending the time until a recovery tank is full, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The toner scattering preventing device 70 includes: an exhaust means 72 exhausting air in a developing device 14 through an exhaust passage; a toner collecting means 100 collecting the toner from the air exhausted by the exhaust means 72; a toner storage means 74 which is located on the upstream side of the toner collecting means 100 and stores the toner collected by the toner collecting means 100, without dropping the collected toner onto the toner of the developing device 14; and a exhaust flow rate control means for the exhaust means 72. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
