PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus with a structure of preventing an element of vibrating/driving a vibration unit from being destroyed, the vibration unit removing a foreign material such as dust adhering to an optical member arranged on a photographing optical axis. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with: an exciting means for vibrating the optical member located to an imaging element at its object side at a right angle to a photographing optical axis; and an energizing means for pressing the optical member in a direction of the vibration produced by the exciting means.
